Monday morning was overcast and cloudy for the morning works at Del Mar, with temperatures around 60F. We got to the track just after 7am today after picking up our photo credentials at the press hotel. There was one timed work from a Breeders' Cup horse this morning. Some European horses have cleared quarantine and were out today, but more should be on the track Tuesday morning. The post position draw will be held this afternoon, so check out all the entries, post positions, and morning line odds here later.

Fierceness (Classic) arrived from New York on Sunday and galloped 1 mile at Del Mar at 8AM Monday. Trainer Todd Pletcher said, "He handled the ship really well. Settled in good yesterday afternoon, rested overnight, seems unfazed by all of it. Like he normally does when he gallops, he kind of had his ears pricked looking around, taking it all in, but seemed very relaxed and happy."

Forever Young (Classic) had an easy exercise at 8AM. Trainer Yoshito Yahagi who arrived Sunday with jockey Ryusei Sakai said, "He is doing well after shipping. I am happy so far."

Senor Buscador (Classic) jogged clockwise then galloped 1 1/2 miles under Dennis Means, assistant to trainer Todd Fincher. Means said, "He's going to the paddock tomorrow and maybe Thursday if we can go on a race day."

Sierra Leone (Classic) jogged 1 mile clockwise on the outside of the main track. Trainer Chad Brown said, "They all breezed on Saturday and had a long trip door-to-door ship yesterday, so I trotted them all today and they're all moving nice and square and fluid. He got around there very happy and looks like his energy is good after that work. Domestic Product (Dirt Mile) breezed 4f over the Belmont Park training track Saturday and shipped Sunday. Trainer Chad Brown said, "He worked good. We plan on running in the Dirt Mile."

Batucada (Distaff) galloped 1 1/4 miles. Trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. said, She gets worked up and has to go with the pony. Other than that, it was all right. She's high strung, so we'll see how she behaves tomorrow."

Honor D Lady (Distaff) galloped 1 1/4 miles. Trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. said, "She had a really good gallop. She'll do about a mile and a quarter or a mile and three-eighths every day."

Ways and Means (Filly and Mare Sprint) breezed 4f in 48.63 Saturday at Belmont Park then shipped to Del Mar Sunday. Trainer Chad Brown said, "She's done super. The work went great. I'm really happy with Ways and Means."

Beach Bomb (Filly and Mare Turf) breezed 4f in 50.60 on Saturday. Trainer Graham Motion said, "I spoke with Alice (Clapham, assistant) and she was very pleased with how everything went."

Chancer McPatrick (Juvenile) breezed 4f solo at Belmont Park (training track) in 49.01 on Saturday before shipping Sunday. Trainer Chad Brown said, "He worked great and galloped out super. He's always been a classy, intelligent young horse and he's continued to develop. I've been very impressed with him."
