Alysheba dead - The 1987 Kentucky Derby winner and 1988 Horse of the Year had to be euthanized on March 27 due to injuries from a fall in his stall at the Kentucky Horse Park. Here is a look at his career and a few photos.

Fourstardave - a fan favorite famous for winning at least one race at Saratoga for eight consecutive years. He passed away at age 17 in 2002 while at Belmont Park preparing to lead the post parade for New York Showcase Day.
