Barbaro captured the hearts of racing fans like no other horse has since Secretariat. He was loved for his winning spirit at the track and for his indominitable will to live after his injury in the Preakness. He fought to live until the end when his injuries overcame his body but not his spirit. Here is a collection of Barbaro photos from his wins in Florida onward. He was truly a champion in every sense of the word.
For more about Barbaro and his connections, check his Derby winner page which has more photos. For all about his injury and treatment with photos from this period, check my Barbaro update page.
