Note: War Of Will broke his maiden in his fifth start at Churchill Downs, after he had already run 2nd in the Summer Stakes (G1) at Woodbine, 4th in the Bourbon Stakes (G3) at Keeneland, and 5th in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf (G1) at Churchill Downs. He made his 2019 debut at the Fair Grounds winning the LeComte Stakes (G3) and the Risen Star Stakes (G2), then finished 9th in the Louisiana Derby (G1) for his final prep. In the Kentucky Derby (G1) he finished 8th (moved up to 7th) beaten 4 1/2 lengths at odds of 16-1. Tyler Gaffalione was forced to check hard when Maximum Security moved out into his path at the 5/16 pole, which led to the disqualification. Came back to win the Preakness Stakes (G1) by 1 1/4 lengths at odds of 6-1, giving his owner, trainer, and jockey their first wins in a Triple Crown race.
