Note: Maximum Security broke his maiden in his only start last year in December at Gulfstream Park. He made his 2019 debut winning a starter optional claimer and followed it up winning another of the same. He made his stakes debut winning the Florida Derby (G1) for his final prep. In the Kentucky Derby (G1) was first past the finish post 1 3/4 lengths in front of Country House as the 9-2 second choice. However, after 2 claims of interference were lodged against him after he veered out on War of Will between the 5/16 and 1/4 poles causing a chain reaction, he became the only horse to be disqualified from first in the Derby on race day, officially placed 17th by the stewards.
