Hughes heads back to the barn. Winning jockey Flavien Prat said, "His trip was good. He was going to switch off around the (first) turn and I don't know if someone hit his heel because then he got keen on me. Once I got going into the last turn, he finally dropped the bridle, took a breather, and not where I wanted to do it, but he did and then he was game after that. I didn't know if he was going to be good enough to give me a run but he did. When he turned for home, he made a really good move. I was a bit worried (American History) was making a run on us but my horse was good enough."

Haffner heads back to the barn. Winning trainer Aidan O'Brien said, "He's improving and still growing. He's a big horse and a typical Justify. With time and as he covers more distance, he'll get even better. He had a great draw and a good position, so that was a big help. The pace was going to be honest, so that all worked very well for him. I think he'll be a classic horse next year. He'll have no problem going 10 (furlongs) and would probably go even farther. He's very classy, really."

Emphatic gallops out after the finish. Winning trainer Brendan Walsh said, "I'm really ecstatic. She went great and Tyler did a fantastic job. Everybody on my team—hats off to them. They do such a good job with this filly. Thanks to the Antony and Andrew, super people—we're just blessed. It was setting up perfectly. They were rolling. When she opened up, I thought she was going to tire a little bit, then she didn't, but Bob's filly was running at her. But she was in front far enough and finished well. She's a super filly."

Sun Goddess in the post parade. Winning trainer Aidan O'Brien said, "She's a special filly. She did everything we have asked her to do and everything we have asked her to do has been so unbelievably natural. She's better ridden back and coming at horses, because when she gets to the front, she doesn't do much, but today she just totally dominant, wasn't she. She was probably five places closer than we thought she would be, but Ryan played it well. When you put a strong pace in front of her, you see what happens. The European form held up well. Very good form."
![]() Libertango wins the Juvenile Turf Sprint |
Jockey Juan Hernandez sent 16-1 Ruiva to the lead down the backstretch and around the turn through fractions of 21.49 and 44.54 while pressed by Harper's Corner and stalked by 51-1 longest shot Hell of A Spin. Ruiva continued to lead to the 1/8 pole but tired badly as favorite Libertango, 6th early under Billy Loughnane, came out 5 wide for room and rallied to win going away by 1 1/4 lengths over Hell of A Spin in 1:02.64. It was a head back to Harper's Corner third, however David Egan aboard 7th place finisher 11-1 Force Noir claimed foul against Paco Lopez on Harper's Corner. After review the stewards disqualified Harper's Corner from 3rd to 8th moving fourth place finisher 9-1 Mussab up to third.

Libertango heads out for the post parade. Winning jockey Billy Loughnane said, "I didn't realize I was going to be riding her until literally an hour ago. I've been sitting on her in all her work since her last run as well, and it's been a tough couple of weeks knowing that she was coming here as a very good chance. We had a fantastic gate, which was amazing. She broke good. I planned to get on the back of Moonrise. I thought then the filly would carry me into the race very well. On the turn in front of me, Oisin got a little bit tighter room. I'd have to watch it back to see exactly happened and comment on it."
