Note: In 2017, Sporting Chance broke his maiden at Saratoga in his second start then won the Hopeful Stakes(G1). He made his 2018 debut finishing 3rd in the Southwest Stakes (G3) at Oaklawn. He followed up with a 5th in the Rebel Stakes (G2) at Oaklawn, then 4th in the Blue Grass (G1) at Keeneland. He didn't have enough points to get in the Derby so instead went in the Pat Day Mile (G3) on Derby Day and finished 4th. In the Preakness Stakes (G1) he raced 7th early but could not improve much finishing 6th beaten 10 3/4 lengths at odds of 23-1.
