Pretty Mischievous after winning the 2023 Kentucky Oaks.

The fillies never get the press the boys do, but on Friday they get the spotlight in the Longines Kentucky Oaks (G1) at Churchill Downs. On Saturday evening the post positions were drawn for the 150th Longines Kentucky Oaks and a full field of fourteen 3-year-old fillies (plus two also-eligible) made the entry box for this $1.25 million Grade 1 event over 1 1/8 miles on the main track.
Rachel Alexandra (G2) and Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) winner Tarifa is a lukewarm favorite at 7-2 and drew post position eight with regular rider Flavien Prat in the irons for trainer Brad Cox. Right behind her at 9-2 is last year's 2-year old filly champion Just F Y I from post 13 with regular rider Junior Alvarado aboard for trainer Bill Mott off a third place finish in the Ashland (G1). Ashland Stakes winner Leslie's Rose is third choice at only 5-1 from outside post 14 with regular rider Irad Ortiz Jr. aboard for trainer Todd Pletcher. Right behind those are two horses at 5-1, Fantasy (G2) winner Thorpedo Anna from post 5 for trainer Ken McPeek and regular rider Brian Hernandez Jr., and Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) runner-up Ways and Means from post 11 for trainer Chad Brown and new rider Tyler Gaffalione, making for a very evenly matched Oaks field.
Update: On Friday morning trainer Eddie Milligan Jr. scratched Tapit Jenallie from the Oaks, letting Our Pretty Woman draw in.
