Monday morning featured ideal training weather, with the main track dried back to "fast" after Saturday's rain. Derby and Oaks entrants galloped under sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 60's.

Below are photos for 13 Derby horses and 10 Oaks fillies from this morning on the track with comments for each. You can watch video of today's training session here.

Kentucky Derby

horse racing Dynamic One galloped 1 1/4 miles under exercise rider Hector Ramos. Trainer Todd Pletcher said, "So far, so good."

horse racing Essential Quality jogged 1 mile. Trainer Brad Cox said, "Both horses came out of their Saturday works great and we're just doing our normal routine leading into race day. They'll both gallop Tuesday and we'll just make sure they're happy until Derby Day."

horse racing Helium schooled in the starting gate and galloped 1 1/2 miles in company with stablemate Soup and Sandwich. Assistant trainer David Carroll said, That's who Helium is; he likes to train and he's fresh and on the muscle."

horse racinghorse racing Hot Rod Charlie jogged one mile under exercise rider Jonny Garcia, accompanied by Doug O'Neill's stable pony and Hall of Famer Lava Man. O'Neill said, We both shipped well Sunday. I always ship well."

horse racing Keepmeinmind schooled in the starting gate and galloepd 1 1/2 miles. Trainer Robertino Diodoro said he will race without blinkers in the Derby.

horse racing King Fury jogged and galloped under exercise rider Lalo Jose Quiroz. Trainer Ken McPeek said, "Uncomplicated. Coming off the work, I jogged them a mile and galloped them a mile. This is a typical routine, we're not going to change anything from what we would do for any other race."

horse racing Known Agenda galloped 1 1/4 miles under exercise rider Carlos Perez Quevuedo. Trainer Todd Pletcher said, "So far, so good."

horse racing Medina Spirit galloped 1 3/8 miles with trainer Bob Baffert watching from the grandstand. Baffert said, "I think we're here with a horse that's in the top 10. I usually like to come in with a top five type horse. He's top 10. He shows up every time. He's run second to some really nice horses. He's doing well over this track."

horse racinghorse racing Midnight Bourbon worked 5f in 1:02.40 under exercise rider Wilson Fabian, out 6f in 1:16.20. Trainer Steve Asmussen said, "I'm very happy with how he went. We got exactly what we wanted and he continues to do very well."

horse racinghorse racing O Besos galloped 1 1/2 miles under exercise rider Margarito Fierro. Trainer Greg Foley said, "We'll probably school him in the paddock at some point this week and be ready for Saturday."

horse racing Soup and Sandwich schooled in the starting gate and galloped 1 1/2 miles in company with stablemate Helium. Assistant trainer David Carroll said, "Soup and Sandwich, you really only see that from him when he breezes. But they are both doing great, they schooled beautifully at the gate, and now we're just hopeful we'll get some luck at the draw (Tuesday)."

horse racing Super Stock went back to the track for the first time since his final Derby breeze Saturday morning and jogged one-mile alongside assistant trainer Scott Blasi aboard the pony.

horse racing Concert Tour continues to show up in the morning with a Derby saddlecloth despite having been withdrawn from the race earlier. Perhaps they are planning to drop him in again at the last minute? He has the points needed to run on virtue of his win in the Rebel Stakes (G2) and third in the Arkansas Derby (G1), Baffert said he would not be entered Tuesday and is instead being pointed for the Preakness (G1).

Kentucky Oaks

horse racing Ava's Grace galloped 1 1/2 miles under exercise rider Walter Davila. Trainer Robertino Diodoro said of post 7, "It looks Iike the speed is to the inside of us, which is good. "I was there for her work, which was very good (last Friday). We just have to keep her healthy and happy until Friday."

horse racing Coach galloped 1 1/2 miles. Owner Rick Kueber said, "It's great being a Louisville guy having a horse in the Oaks. It's the most exciting time of year in this city and it's really special to be involved in this race as an owner."

horse racing Competitive Speed jogged 2 miles under exercise rider Anthony Gallo. Trainer Javier Gonzalez said of post 13, "I was hoping for something between the seven and the nine, but that is OK. There is a long run to the first turn and (jockey Chris Landeros) can move in and get a good position without losing much ground."

horse racing Crazy Beautiful had an easy jog and gallop under exercise rider Danny Ramsey. Trainer Ken McPeek said, "She's coming into this thing like a beast. I've been watching some of the others out there, and I feel pretty confident that we'll get a piece of it. I've been second three times and fourth three times. We've run well, and if you keep doing that, eventually you're going to get it."

horse racing Malathaat galloped 1 3/8 miles and schooled in the starting gate under exercise rider Amelia Green. Trainer Todd Pletcher said of post 10, "I'm basically fine with the draw. I probably would have preferred to be a bit more toward the middle but if it was a case of drawing inside or outside, I'll take the outside. It'll work out fine."

horse racing Millefeuille galloped 1 mile under exercise rider Ailsa Morrison, her first day back on the track after working a bullet 5f in 59.60 on Saturday. The Bill Mott trainee drew post 14.

horse racing Moraz galloped 1 1/4 miles under exercise rider Olha Krushevska. Trainer Mike McCarthy said of post 8, "It should be just fine. There is plenty of tactical speed and she's easy to ride. I'm happy with our spot."

horse racing Search Results galloped 1 3/8 miles. Trainer Chad Brown said she "continues to thrive here." Trained by Chad Brown, Search Results is perfect in three starts with her most recent coming in the Gazelle (G3) on April 3 at the Oaks distance of 1 1/8 miles. Irad Ortiz Jr., who has been aboard for two of those three victories, has the mount Friday and will break from post 12.

horse racing Travel Column galloped 1 1/2 miles. Jockey Florent Geroux said before the draw, "I'm hoping we draw somewhere in the middle of the gate with speed to our inside." Apparently he got his wish as she drew post 6.

horse racing Will's Secret jogged 1 mile. Her trainer Dallas Stewart, who saddled Lemons Forever to victory in the 2006 renewal, is going for a second training win in the Oaks. Stewart trains Willis Horton Racing's Will's Secret, (30-1) winner of the Martha Washington and Honeybee (G3) prior to running third in the Ashland. Jon Court has the mount and will exit post 11.

horse racing Chess Chief was a handful schooling the paddock today for trainer Dallas Stewart. He recently won the New Orleans Classic (G2) and is entered in the Alysheba Stakes (G2) on Oaks day.
