This year it really looked like we would finally get another Triple Crown winner after Big Brown easily won both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness by large margins, but it did not come to pass. In the Belmont Stakes, he was pulled up by jockey Kent Desormeaux and eased from the race leaving 38-1 longshot Da' Tara as the upset winner. Desormeaux said, "He was keen to go on early. He broke so hard. I got him out early and just cantered down the backside. A couple of times, he thought it was time to go and jumped into the bridle a couple of times. But I had no horse, and when I realized something was wrong, I knew he wouldn't be fifth. He's the best horse I've ever been on, so I took care of him."
Here are all the pages of info and photos I put up for the three Triple Crown races. The results page has the order of finish and pay-offs as well as photos of the running. The rest are self explanatory and all include several photos. Take your time and look at them all to relive the experience of this year's spectacle.
