Note: Epicenter broke his maiden in his second start at Churchill Downs and then won the Gun Runner Stakes at the Fair Grounds. He made his 2022 debut at the Fair Grounds finishing 2nd in the Lecomte Stakes (G3) and followed up with a win in the Risen Star Stakes (G2). He won the Louisiana Derby (G2) for his final prep. Sent off as the 4-1 favorite in the Kentucky Derby (G1) he led through the stretch before getting caught by Rich Strike in the final 1/16, beaten 3/4 length. In the Preakness Stakes (G1) he finished second beaten 1 1/4 lengths as the 6-5 favorite.
