Here is a selection of scenic and other interesting photos from 2008 Dubai World Cup day at Nad al Sheba Racecourse.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed al-Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and the ruler of Dubai, arrives at the track with his wife, Jordanian Princess Haya Bint al-Hussein, and entourage.
Local fans hold up photos of Sheikh Mohammed from the cover of Horse and Horsemen magazine.

Two views of the fans and stands.
Fire and lighted costumes seems to be a common theme during the entertainment. Here you have jugglers with flaming batons and drummers with flaming drumsticks.
Lots of horses and riders with lighted costumes participated in the entertainment.
There was also entertainment on the apron earlier in the day here is a juggler on a unicycle and a guy in a fancy costume with a giant UAE flag who was singing.
