Monday morning was overcast and chilly for the morning works at Del Mar, with temperatures in the high 50's. We got to the track just after 7am today after picking up our photo credentials at the press hotel. The post position draw was held this afternoon, so check out all the entries, post positions, and morning line odds here. There were more horses here today than on past pre-Breeder's Cup Mondays, with a good number of foreign horses out this morning.

Hot Rod Charlie (Classic) enters the Classic off a 2 1/4 length victory in the Pennsylvania Derby (G1) under Flavien Prat, who retains the mount. Hot Rod Charlie will break from post position three. Assiatnt trainer Leandro Mora said, "We love it (3). We are going into the race with a really nice horse and if you have a nice horse, you're going to have a good race."

Max Player (Classic) worked 4f in 50 seconds. Assistant trainer Scott Blasi said, "They had their big works at Santa Anita last week. This was just to get them acquainted with the racetrack. We weren't looking for too much. All of our horses seem to be doing really well."

Stilleto Boy (Classic) galloped twice around under exercise rider Jose Sandoval. Runner-up to Classic rival Medina Spirit in the Awesome Again in his most recent start, Stilleto Boy is scheduled to have a timed work Tuesday morning.

Letruska (Distaff) galloped 1 1/2 miles with the pony, two days after her final timed work for the Distaff, 5f in 1:01 1/5, over the Del Mar track. Trainer Fausto Gutierrez said that Letruska appears to like the surface at Del Mar, adding, "I think six is a very good post. It's better than to go absolutely inside or outside when you need to use more of the horse. She looks to make a normal race, nothing different. I think it's a good position."

Trained by James Fanshawe, the defending champ comes into this year's race off a fourth-place finish in the Prix de l'Opera (G1). William Buick has the mount and will break from post 12.

It's one of my favorite weeks of the year and to have some nice runners is very exciting. The horses look fantastic and reports are that they traveled over really well."

Loughnane said, "Go Bears Go and Hello You both traveled over really well. The trip probably took a bit more out of Hello You. Go Bears Go is like an old pro with this sort of stuff as he takes everything in his stride. They were both in good form on track, moving very well and it was good to get them out exercising after quarantine. It's a huge opportunity for us to be here with two live chances taking on some of the best horses in the world. I feel very lucky and very privileged to be here. I'm going to go and walk the turf track this afternoon. We just need a nice post position for them both now and fingers crossed they run big races."

Roche added, "He's in super order. He felt brilliant on the track, very fresh and well but that's him every day. He just loves his work. The traveling doesn't seem to have bothered him at all."

A Case of You (Turf Sprint) was ridden on the main track doing a light canter, looked in great condition. Work rider Ian Brennan said: "A Case Of You traveled over super. He has recovered from the long journey and has settled in great. We were just out for a leg stretch this morning with some trotting and a light canter. He moved well and took in all his surroundings. He's very professional and he's a pleasure to deal with."

Glass Slippers (Turf Sprint) was very fresh having some small bucks up the stretch, but looked in great condition. Trainer Kevin Ryan travels from the UK Monday and will be on track Tuesday morning. Tom Eaves will once again take the ride and arrives Tuesday alongside Ryan.
