In stark contrast to Monday, the skies were clear on Tuesday morning at Santa Anita allowing spectators to enjoy the usual stunning backdrop of the San Gabriel Mountains at sunrise. Many Breeders' Cup hopefuls were out on the Pro-Ride main track and the turf course, just a few hours before the post positions were drawn. Here are photos for 29 of the horses, all different from Monday, on the track with comments and a link to a profile for each.

  Conduit - drew post 9 in the Turf and Ryan Moore will be aboard for trainer Sir Michael Stoute. On Monday morning he went out for a jog on the firm turf course after the main track closed for training. |
 Dancing Forever - Dancing Forever - will break from post 6 in the Turf with Rene Douglas aboard. The Shug McGaughey trainee jogged then galloped 1 mile this morning. |
 Eagle Mountain - drew the outside post 11 in the Turf for trainer Mike de Kock and regular rider Kevin Shea. He went out for a jog on the Pro-Ride on Monday morning. De Kock said, "I don't think it will make a difference over 1 1/2 miles. I'm glad to be away from the rail." |
 Winchester - went out for a jog on the main track for trainer Dermot Weld. He will break from post 5 in the Turf under jockey Patrick Smullen. |
 Fleeting Spirit - will break from post 2 in the Turf Sprint under jockey John Murtagh. The Jeremy Noseda trainee went out for a jog on the Pro-Ride on Tuesday. |
 Heros Reward - will break from the inside post in the Turf Sprint under regular rider Javier Castellano. On Tuesday morning, he galloped down the hillside course to try the main track crossover. Observers noted that he looked tired and winded after his gallop. |
 
Idiot Proof - Drew the 11 hole in the Turf Sprint and will have Garrett Gomez in the irons. On Tuesday he worked half a mile in 49 seconds down the hillside course, and was observed to finish up well in his first ever trip over the crossing. Trainer Clifford Sise said, "He really wanted to go today. The last time he worked on the turf, he was looking all around and not doing much. But today he wanted to run and he looked good doing it. He came over the dirt perfect."

 Only Answer - drew post 4 in the Turf Sprint for trainer Andre Fabre, and will have Olivier Peslier aboard. He went out for a jog on the Pro-Ride on Tuesday morning. |
 Storm Treasure - drew post 6 in the Turf Sprint and will have Shaun Bridgmohan aboard. He went out for a 1 1/2 mile gallop on the Pro-Ride. |
 True to Tradition - drew post 3 in the Turf Sprint and will have regular rider Kendrick Carmouche in the irons. He went out for a gallop on the main track this morning. |
 Mauralakana - drew post 7 in the Filly and Mare Turf for trainer Christophe Clement, and will have Kent Desormeaux aboard. She galloped 1 1/4 miles on the Pro-Ride on Tuesday. |
 Pure Clan - went out for a 1 1/2 mile gallop this morning. She drew the outside post 10 for trainer Robert Holthus, and will have Edgar Prado aboard on Friday. Holthus said, "She shipped in real good. If we can get a repeat of her last California race, we'll be good." |
 Visit - drew post 4 for Friday's Filly and Mare Turf, and will have Ryan Moore in the irons. The Sir Michael Stoute trainee went out for a jog on the turf late this morning. |
 Tiz Elemental - worked 3/8 in 36 4/5 over the fast Pro-Ride on Tuesday morning. She drew the 8 post in the Filly and Mare Sprint for trainer Carla Gaines and rider Joel Rosario. |
 Tizzy's Tune - drew post 13 in the Filly and Mare Sprint for trainer Ron McAnally and jockey Alex Solis. She went out for some light work on Tuesday. |
 Fatal Bullet - went out for a jog on the training track on Tuesday. He will break from the outside post 9 for trainer Reade Baker, and will have regular jockey Eurico Rosa da Silva in the irons on Friday. We have yet to see him on the main track. |
 Beyond Our Reach - went out for a Pro-Ride jog on Tuesday in preparation for Friday's Juvenile Fillies Turf. She drew post 10 for trainer Tommy Stack, and will have Frankie Dettori aboard. Fozzy Stack, son of the trainer, said, "I don't think the post is too good on this track. But there's not much we can do about it. We'll just have to make the best of it." |
 Black Magic Mama - Juvenile Fillies entrant galloped 1 1/2 miles on the main track this morning. She will break from post 3 for trainer Doug O'Neill and jockey Rafael Bejarano. O'Neill said, "I thought she ran dynamite in her last race. She was wide from the 10 hole at 1 1/16 in only her second start and first at two turns. She's stepping up a little, but she acts like the talent is there." |
 Dave's Revenge - drew post 7 for Friday's Juvenile Fillies. The Robert Hess Jr. trainee was out on the main track for some light work on Tuesday, and will have Joel Rosario aboard on Saturday. |
 Freedom Rings - galloped on the main track Tuesday morning in preparation for the Juvenile Fillies Turf on Friday. She drew post 6 for trainer David Donk and jockey Alan Garcia. |
 Persistently - galloped 1 mile then schooled in the paddock. She will break from post 2 in the Juvenile Fillies for trainer Shug McGaughey and jockey Alan Garcia. McGaughey said, "I like Persistently getting inside because I want her being in the bridle. She's not going to the front, so when they get out of there, she'll have a lot to look at horse-wise." |
 Saucey Evening - Juvenile Fillies Turf entrant galloped 1 mile on the Pro-Ride this morning. She drew post 11 for jockey Garrett Gomez and trainer H. Graham Motion. Alice Clapham, assistant to Motion said, "I don't think being on the outside on the turf is going to be too bad. It's just about getting out of there and then getting a trip." |
 Sugar Mom - went out for a 1 mile jog in preparation for the Juvenile Fillies Turf. The Wayne Catalano trainee will break from post 8 under jockey Eibar Coa. Steve Leving, representative of owner Frank Calabrese said, "Her mother Plenty of Sugar was a grade 3 winner on turf and she was second in the Coaching Club American Oaks. She has a half-brother that was grade I placed over fences. She needed to do something other than what she had been doing. Based on her pedigree, I thought she had to improve in two turn races on Polytrack or turf." |
 Van Lear Rose - Juvenile Fillies entrant went out for a 1 1/2 mile gallop and schooled in the starting gate on Tuesday. She drew post 6 for trainer Catherine Day-Phillips and jockey Chantal Sutherland. Todd Phillips, husband of the trainer, said "She arrived in really good order and is doing very well." |
 Bushranger - jogged on the training track this morning in preparation for the Juvenile. He drew post 12 for trainer David Wachman, and will have John Murtagh aboard on Saturday. |
 Midshipman - Juvenile entrant jogged 1 mile on Tuesday on the main track for trainer Bob Baffert. He will break from the 11 hole under jockey Garrett Gomez. Baffert said "He is fine this morning; came out of the work good. We are all locked and loaded and ready to go." |
 Albertus Maximus - the Dirt Mile entrant galloped on the main track on Tuesday. He drew post 7 for trainer Vladimir Cerin and jockey Garrett Gomez. |
 Two Step Salsa - jogged on the main track then walked the shedrow in preparation for the Dirt Mile. The Julio Canani trainee drew post 5 and will have Martin Pedroza in the irons Saturday. |
 Sixties Icon - the Marathon entrant jogged on the main track Tuesday morning. Frankie Dettori will be aboard the Jeremy Noseda trainee on Saturday, breaking from the 4 hole. |
