2002 Triple Crown Late Nominations

Take Charge Lady is one of the best of the 12 late nominees

A total of 405 three-year-olds, including 14 fillies and 9 geldings, were nominated for a $600 fee in the early nominations which closed on January 19th. An additional 12 were nominated for a $6,000 fee in the late nominations which closed on March 30th. Two of these, One Tuff Fox and Puzzlement, were not known until April 2nd due to the offices at Aqueduct being closed for the Easter weekend. Other horses can still enter up until entries are drawn for the Derby, but a hefty $150,000 supplemental fee would be required. Here are the late nominees with their connections and pedigree info.
