Date : 05/17/2017

Always Dreaming made dreams come true by winning the 2017 Kentucky Derby as the lukewarm favorite, and now he will go on on to the $1 million Preakness Stakes (G1) on May 20 to see if he can win the second jewel of the Triple Crown. Just 9 others are going to take him on in this 1 3/16 mile trip over the Baltimore track on Saturday afternoon. Always Dreaming as expected is the 4-5 morning line favorite, winner of the Florida Derby (G1) and the Kentucky Derby (G). In to challenge him include 3-1 second choice Classic Empire, 4th in the Derby after winning the Arkansas Derby (G1), and 10-1 third choice Lookin at Lee, runner-up in the Derby.

The race will be televised live on NBC Saturday afternoon starting at 5pm with coverage of the earlier races on the card on NBCSN starting at 2:30pm. Black-Eyed Susan day will be televised starting at 3pm on NBCSN. You can get free past performances for the Preakness from BRISnet.com.
