Here my continuing look at the list of top contenders for the 2015 Kentucky Derby to be run on May 2nd at Churchill Downs. The prep races are finished and the Road to the Derby point system is finalized The Derby is on Saturday!
Below is my latest list of contenders with their trainer, jockey, and dosage index and dual qualifiers have been marked with a * by their dosage index. Each horse names links to a profile with lots of info and a photo. Jockey assignments are based on who is currently riding them, and won't be firm until much later. The early Triple Crown nominations, which cost $600, closed in January with 429 horses, and late nominations, which cost $6000, will closed in late March. That is the last chance to be eligible without a high supplement fee, but with rule changes last year late supplements will have the same priority as the nominees if anyone wants to pay the $200,000 fee.
