Winning jockey John Velazquez, celebrating his first Woodbine Oaks win, said, "We know it's going to be a lot of pace in the race, so I wanted to see how it developed and developed in front of us. She held her ground pretty well going to the first turn. So, kind of held it there. By the time she got to the backstretch, she switched and got a little bit on the bridle a little sooner than I wanted to."

Left: No Time mid-pack shortly after the start. Velazquez added, "So, I kind of give and take a little bit. By the time we got to the half-mile pole, I just kind of kept it nice and easy. And then I didn't want to make a premature move, but let her do whatever she was doing, easy at the same time the quarter pole came, and she switched on down the lane, and she gave another gear. She galloped out very nicely. I think if she can do that again (in the Plate), relax in the first part, the way she did today, then she has a very good chance."

Left: Second place finisher and beaten favorite Shifty after the finish. The Mark Casse trainee improved her record to 2 wins, 1 second, and 2 thirds in 8 starts, earning $224,879 for owner D. J. Stable.

Left: Sedburys Ghost in the winner's circle. Winning jockey Ryan Munger said, "These quality horses are like push buttons. You just give them a clear run, and they give it to you. And my job as the pilot was just to get them around nice and relaxed and set them alight at the right time." Trainer Barbara Minshall added, "I kind of like the pace in a way, because I knew he'd close, and Ryan found a good trip. I knew if he found clean run at the end, at top of the lane, I was really confident in him today. I have to say we were confident."

Right: Sedburys Ghost gets hosed off after the race. Winning owner-breeder Yawen Wu said, "It's very exciting because it's kind of a struggle, where you have a small amount of mares. But now this just gave me confidence, and I'm thinking, you know, I will probably get some more."

Left: Second place finisher and beaten favorite Notorious Gangster races in last place first time by. The Josie Carroll trainee improved his record to 3 wins, 2 seconds, and 1 third in 7 starts, earning $252,770 for owner-breeder Mark Dodson.

Left: Ready for Shirl in the winner's circle. Winning jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson said, "She's been training exceptional. Her last breeze last week on the training track turf was quite stellar, both physically and mentally. And so, she kind of telegraphed to us that she was going to showcase a big day today, and she, she showed up exactly as we expected. It's absolutely fun to be back in the tack, it's fun to be back in the winner's circle. It's just fun to be here."

Right: Ready for Shirl gets hosed off after the race. Winning trainer Roger Attfield said, "I remember saying her last work, it was as good as she's ever worked for me. She's carrying more weight than she's ever carried before, and since her last race, she's put weight on. I've always had problems keeping weight on this filly, so she was indicating that she's rounding into a really nice filly now."

Left: Second place finisher and beaten favorite Gimme a Nother returns after the race. The Graham Motion trainee improved her record to 7 wins, 3 seconds, and 0 thirds in 11 starts, earning $273,773 for owner Newstead Stables.

Left: Cruden Bay in the winner's circle. Winning jockey Fraser Aebly said, "When we hit the head of the lane, I knew I started to smooch at him a little bit, and he started to pick up the bridle, and it was just whether we found our spot to go. And he sure gave me everything he had when he found it."

Right: Cruden Bay heads heads back to the barn after the race. Winning trainer Don MacRae said, "Around the three-eighths pole, I did say to Michael (Lay, owner), 'We got a lot of horse.' And when you know this horse, you know how hard he tries – it's just amazing. I mean, we're a small team, but we bust our butts every day, and I'm so proud of everyone right now."
