Was second to Friesan Fire in the LeComte Stakes at the Fair Grounds for this 2009 debut and IEAH Stables bought a controlling interest in him afterwards. Ran 5th for most of the race then faded badly in the stretch to finish 8th in the slop at the Louisiana Derby. Showed nothing in the Blue Grass, finishing a well beaten 10th, so not enough earnings to get in the Derby. Out until July for surgery to remove an ankle chip.
