Trainer:Shug McGaughey Jockey:Rajiv Maragh Foaling Date: 1-21-2006 Pedigree: Empire Maker - Jaramar Rain by Thunder Gulch Dosage Profile: 8-7-7-0-2 Dosage Index/CD: 3.36 0.79 2008 Record: 2 Starts: 1 - 1 - 0, $43,600 Best Beyer Figure: 98 Note: Broke his maiden at Belont Park in his second start last year. Won his 2009 debut in an allowance at Gulfstream Park then rallied from far back to finish 2nd in the Gotham to I Want Revenge but was still beaten 8 1/2 lengths. Was very worked up before the Wood and even reared up and fell over in the paddock before the race, so no real surprise he finished 5th by 9 lengths in the race. His trainer Shug McGaughey said, "There's no chance he's going to the Kentucky Derby." His next start was in the Peter Pan Stakes at Belmont where he ran 2nd behind Charitable Man. The Dwyer was mentioned as a possibility for his next start.
