Trainer:D. Wayne Lukas Jockey:Julien Leparoux Foaling Date: 3-7-2006 Pedigree: Fusaichi Pegasus - Beautiful Treasure by Unbridled Dosage Profile: 15-11-14-0-2 Dosage Index/CD: 3.67 0.88 2008 Record: 4 Starts: 1 - 1 - 0, $47,880 Best Beyer Figure: 94 Note: Last year the $700,000 Keeneland yearling purchase broke his maiden on the third try at Saratoga then ran 2nd in an allowance at Churchill. Ran 4th in an optional claimer at Oaklawn for his 2009 debut, then was 2nd and 4th in similar races also at Oaklawn. Shortened back up to 6 furlongs and ran 2nd by a head in the Mountain Valley Stakes there then shipped to Turfway Park to run 2nd in the Lane's End Stakes to Hold Me Back. Needed more graded earnings, but turned in an even effort to finish 5th in the Arkansas Derby for his final prep. In the Kentucky Derby, he was 5 wide on the first turn then stopped badly after a mile and trailed the rest of the way, finishing 19th and last. 10th through the first 3/4 of the Preakness, he rallied to finish 4th only beaten 4 lengths. In the Belmont, he raced in mid-pack 5th or 6th the whole way around, but flattened out in the stretch and could not improve position, finishing 6th beaten 14 3/4 lengths.
