Made a good rally in the Florida Derby couldn't catch Quality Road and had to settle for second. Having no starts last year and only 3 starts lifetime is a big strike against him statistically as far as winning the Kentucky Derby. In the Kentucky Derby, he stumbled at the start and was never really in the race, finishing 11th. Came back 5 weeks later in the Belmont Stakes to set the pace for a mile, finishing second beaten 2 3/4 lengths.
