Trainer:Kiaran McLaughlin Jockey:Alan Garcia Foaling Date: 3-19-2006 Pedigree: Lemon Drop Kid - Charitabledonation by Saint Ballado Dosage Profile: 9-1-15-1-0 Dosage Index/CD: 2.06 0.69 *dual qualifier* 2008 Record: 2 Starts: 2 - 0 - 0, $187,200 Best Beyer Figure: 96 Note: Won both his starts last year, a maiden special weight at Saratoga and the Futurity at Belmont in September. After that race, they found a saucer fracture in his shin which required surgery. After a 7 month lay-off, he started working out in early March. He made his first start of 2009 in the Blue Grass Stakes at Keeneland where he never really was in the race and finished 7th beaten 7 3/4 lengths. Won't go to the Derby according to his trainer but perhaps the Preakness. Decided on the Peter Pan instead of the Preakness and he won easily by 3 3/4 length. In the Belmont, he stalked the pace in fourth early while three wide throughout, but could not improve his position late, finishing 4th beaten 6 1/2 lengths.
