Was a dismal 10th in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, but followed that up with wins in an allowance at Churchill and the Sugar Bowl Stakes at the Fair Grounds. Was 3rd to Hard Spun in the Lecomte Stakes but turned the tables on him to win in the Southwest Stakes at Oaklawn. Came back to run a distant third to Curlin in the Rebel Stakes at Oaklawn then set a slow pace in the Blue Grass only to finish fourth by a neck in a blanket finish. Chased early in the Kentucky Derby then faded badly to finish 17th.
