The fillies never get the press the boys do, but on Friday they get the spotlight in the Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs. On Tuesday the post positions were drawn for the 138th Kentucky Oaks and a field of 14 3-year-old fillies plus one also-eligible made the entry box for this $1,000,000 Grade 1 event over 1 1/8 miles on the main track.

The 5-2 favorite is Grace Hall who is owned by Michael Dubb,Bethlehelm Stables and Elkstone Group and trained by Anthony Dutrow with Javier Castellano getting the ride. She took the Florida path to the Oaks, finishing second in the Davona Dale and winning the Gulfstream Oaks. The co-second choices at 4-1 are On Fire Baby and Broadway's Alibi. On Fire Baby won the Honeybee at Oaklawn last out, while Broadway's Alibi won the Comely at Aqueduct.

For more info, news, and notes on the Oaks, check the special Oaks website from Churchill Downs. Free past performances should be available soon from BRISnet here (look for Eden's Moon). Post time for the Kentucky Oaks is 5:45pm and you can watch it on NBC Sports Network Friday afternoon from 5-6pm EDT.
