Breeders' Cup Ticket Applications Available

Date: 01/21/2004

Officials of Breeders' Cup Limited and Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie have announced that ticket applications are now available for the 2004 Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships. Tickets available to the general public will range from $25.00 to $125.00.

The 21st Breeders' Cup, consisting of eight Grade I races with purses and awards totaling $14 million, will be held Saturday, Oct. 30 at Lone Star Park in the Dallas suburb of Grand Prairie, Texas.

To accommodate the tremendous interest in the 2004 Breeders' Cup - the first time that the event will be held in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the Southwest - plans call for installation of temporary seating to accommodate an approximate crowd of 50,000.

Online ticket applications will be available at Lone Star Park's website, lonestarpark.com. Customers may also obtain applications via e-mail or by calling Lone Star Park at 972-263-7223 or 800-795-7223. The online order form begins here.

All applications must be received at Lone Star Park no later than Friday, June 4 to be included in a random drawing that will determine the order in which applications will be processed. Applications received after the deadline will be handled on a first come, first served basis, dependent upon seating availability. Tickets will be limited to six per household.

"Interest in this year's Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships has been tremendous," Lone Star Park President Corey Johnsen said. "We have already received thousands of inquiries for tickets. At this time, plans call for everyone in attendance to have a reserved seat. That will enable us to provide a high level of customer service and deliver the best experience possible."

Tickets for the general public will be available at the following locations around the racetrack. Prices and color coding on the seating map below are indicated for each.

Applicants may choose any of the above seating options, rank them in order of preference, and have the option of selecting the Next Best Available Seating if their first selection is sold out. Optional seating for Thursday, Oct. 28 and Friday, Oct. 29, will also be available in the ticket packages.
