American Racing Manual 2008 from Daily Racing Form is a great compilations of statistics, race charts, articles, and more. For a cheaper alternative that limits the historical data to the last 10 years, check out the Thoroughbred Times Racing Almanac 2008.
The Best of the Widener Collection - This new book from Blood Horse Publications showcases over 200 photographs from racing's golden era, featuring rare and historic photographs from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries some that have never been published before.

At The Track Throw Blanket - a lovely thoroughbred racing design with both old fashioned sepia photos and color photos. Really pretty and sure to be appreciated by any racing fan.
