2017 Preakness Contenders

Updated: 05/14/2017

Always Dreaming made dreams come true by winning the 2017 Kentucky Derby as the lukewarm favorite, and now he will go on on to the Preakness Stakes on May 20 to see if he can win the second jewel of the Triple Crown. Right now, it looks like several of the Derby starters are planning to try the Preakness along with a few who are back who didn't make the Derby field. A maximum of 14 horses are allowed to start in the Preakness, but it doesn't look like we will get there this year.
