The Kentucky Derby is in the record books and the only horse with a chance to be the next Triple Crown winner is now Orb. Can he do it or will someone else win the Preakness? Here is the latest list of horses planning to start in the Preakness. Right now, it looks like several of the Derby starters are planning to try the Preakness, although second place Golden Soul and third place Revolutionary are waiting for the Belmont Stakes. There are a couple of new faces joining and some are back who dropped out of the Derby to wait for the Preakness. A maximum of 14 horses are allowed to start in the Preakness, so we will have to wait and see if we get there this year.
