Track Records
Track and world records organized by racing breed for many tracks in
North America. I am compiling lists where they are not available
online so email me lists for missing tracks if you have them.

Review: My Racing Heart
By Nan Mooney, a writer for the Blood Horse. This book interweaves
her own personal experiences in various facets of the horse racing
game with lessons in racing history and stories of famous people in
the racing industry. Recommended reading for all racing fans who
value the human-interest side of the sport.

How to Calculate Odds and Payoffs
A handy chart of $2 wager payoffs for various odds plus how to
calculate the exact odds for a win bet yourself from information
available on the toteboard.

Contest: Win "Ride of Their Lives"
Register to win a copy of the book "Ride of Their Lives" by Lenny
Shulman courtesy of Eclipse Press. Entries will close on July 13th.

Breeders' Cup Future Bet Final Odds
Betting was light but that was to be expected since the wagering was so
far in advance of the races. Is Street Cry really a worthwhile bet at
4-1 with 3 1/2 months to go before the race is run?

Caller One retired due to injury
GRYFKAT writes, "Fractured a sesamoid training at Belmont. They
aren't sure if surgery will be necessary. He's flying to Florida
to Chapman's farm."

Sunday Silence vs. Easy Goer, revisited
EARLY11 writes, "If not for bonehead Pat Day rides in the Preakness
(especially) and in the Classic, the head to head would have been at
least 2-2 and maybe 3-1 the other way. But Sunday Silence was dead
game, so I have to say he deserves credit and the two will always be
discussed in much the same way Affirmed - Alydar are discussed (although
that rivalry was much more one sided and I can't for the life of me
understand anyone thinking Alydar was the equal of Affirmed as a race
horse). But that's another can."

Television Schedule
