He had his first serious work since the Preakness and breezed 5 furlongs
effortlessly in 1:00 3/5, galloping out 6 furlongs in 1:13 3/5. Lots of

Crown in six years, and unlike the last two he actually has a shot at
pulling it off. This is a horse who can on guts alone handle a 12f speed
duel and still be a bob of the head in front at the wire. Get ready to
see the best stretch run in the Belmont in years. War Emblem's Kentucky
Derby is one of only two pacelines that actually was at or over par at
all calls; that's the mark of one dangerous horse."

Anyone going to the Belmont?
CURVEDLINES writes, "You don't need a ticket. You get full access to the
apron and railside plus the paddock and back yard with general
admission. You can easily stake out an excellent spot to watch the race
and there are benches you can claim to have a place to sit. Works best
if you aren't alone so someone can always stay to keep your spot of
course." MARK10001 strongly advises to get there as early as possible to
save a spot, and adds "I hope history is made."
