Eddie Delahoussaye Retires
The doctors told him it was time to retire due to head and neck

More on Beyer's HOY vote against Azeri
DEPALMA13 writes, "Beyer is not making a case against Azeri based on
fact. He's making a case based on his own beliefs, beliefs held before
the outcome of any of the Breeders' Cup races. He is not basing his
decision on what Azeri accomplished on the track, or what others failed
to do. He is not open-minded on the issue, and when a journalist is not
open-minded, they have no credibility. What's even worse, is the man
actually has a vote in the balloting."

Early Derby picks
PISTOL19 writes, "Was in Vegas over the holiday and put some down on a
few. Top bet was Gigawatt, he had been at 100-1 for a few weeks and
opened at that the day I bet, but was down to 75-1 when I bet. I like
him so I went ahead and bet. Next was Scrimshaw, was 50-1 due to SA win,
this far out I mostly like 100-1 or over, so I passed. Third was Shawklit Man
at 200-1. Last was a token bet on Midway Road at 100-1, he went to turf last
weekend and finished last, so that doesn't look very promising. I don't like
any of the well-publicized 2yo, thankfully. I hope they do well, remain
healthy, and make it to the Derby."
