Breeders' Cup Ticket Applications to be Mailed May 1st

Officials of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, Breeders' Cup Limited and the Oak Tree Racing Association announced today that ticket applications for the 2003 Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships to be held Saturday, October 25, during the Oak Tree Meeting at Santa Anita Park, will be mailed beginning Thursday, May 1st.

Applications received at Santa Anita Park by June 15, 2003 will be included in a random draw for priority seating locations. Applications received after the deadline will be handled on a first come, first served basis, depending upon seating availability.

General and clubhouse admissions will be available on the day of the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships. Patrons not selected in the random draw will be able to purchase admission at the gate, and have access to a limited number of unreserved seats available throughout the facility and trackside access.

"We look forward to hosting the 20th Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships," said Sherwood C. Chillingworth, executive vice president of the Oak Tree Racing Association. "There has been tremendous interest in this year's Breeders' Cup event. We have received requests for information from across the country and around the world."
