Bodog.com Releases Innovative Horse Racing Software
Date: 05/01/2006
Bodog.com may be known by some sports bettors more for its long list of football, basketball and baseball wagers than for its horse racing odds, but that image is about to change. Today, Bodog.com unveiled its new and enhanced horse racing software.
"The new Bodog.com Racebook offers horse racing fans a chance to experience many of the same thrills of being at a live racetrack while sitting in the comfort of their own home," says Calvin Ayre, Founder and CEO of Bodog.com. "With the Kentucky Derby running next Saturday, this software will allow horse players who can't be at Churchill Downs the best opportunity to wager on the biggest event in the sport."
Some of the newest enhancements to the racebook include a change to the existing payout structure, with Bodog.com now offering track odds payouts from $5,000-$30,000 per wager on various venues.
Bodog.com is once again defining the quintessential user experience with step-by-step wagering assistance and track preview information such as daily weather listings, track schedules, graded races for each track and track history.
Eight new racetracks have been added to Bodog.com's Racebook, including popular Los Alamitos in California . Along with promotional rebates, online players receive 3% back on straight wagers and 5% on exotic wagers (wín or lose). Other features of the Bodog.com Racebook that are sure to please casual race bettors as well as expert horse players include:
No need for downloading as all software is built into the web site
Online wagering closes only when the horse track closes its wagering
Up-to-date information on horses, jockeys and scratches
Morning-line odds for each race
Straight and exotic wagering from the top thoroughbred and harness tracks
More than 90 tracks paying live odds
Bettors have until post time at the host track to get bets in
