2008 Nearctic (G2) and Summer (G3) Stakes - 8-1 shot True to Tradition got up by a nose over 52-1 Rouse the Cat to win the Nearctic Stakes (G2) for the turf sprinters. Pre-Arc Saturday at Longchamp - The day before the Arc de Triomphe featured the 7 furlong Prix de la Foret (G1) won by Paco Boy and the 2 1/2 mile Prix du Cadran (G1) won by Bannaby, both of which were ridden by jockey Christophe Soumillon. Black Seventeen upsets in the Vosburgh Stakes (G1) - He just got up by a head over Fabulous Strike to pay $49.60 to win, while favorite Lucky Island finished 6th. Get the results, chart, and photos here.
Dynaforce romps in the Flower Bowl Invitational (G1) - She took the lead at the start and held off a bid by favored Mauralakana in the stretch to win 4 lengths. Get the results, chart, and photos here.
Closing day of the 'J' track at Picov Downs - Sunday was the final day of the season at this small quarterhorse track in Ajax, Ontario, before they build a new 5 furlong oval. Included is the results of their first ever graded race, the Alex Picov Memorial Championship (G3).
Indian Blessing romps in the Gallant Bloom Handicap - She drew off to win by 6 1/4 lengths over Elope and Port Bonheur. Also on the card, Informed Decision won the Missile Belle Stakes. Get the results, charts, and photos here.

Natalma and Swynford Stakes Results - C Karma won by a neck in the Natalma (G3), a "Win and You're In" race for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf while Mine That Bird won the Swynford for the 2-year-old colts on the main track. Get the results, charts, and photos here.
Deweycheatumnhowe wins the Canadian Trotting Classic - He bounced back from his 2nd place finish in the elimination to win the $1 million race by 2 lengths, his 18th win from 19 career starts. Get the results, chart, and photos here.
Rahy's Attorney upsets in the Woodbine Mile (G1) - The Ontario-bred gelding held off the filly Ventura to win by 1 1/4 lengths while heavy favorite Kip Deville was a well beaten 5th. Get the results, chart, and photos here.
Northern Dancer Turf (G1) and Canadian Stakes (G2) results - Champs Elysees just got up by a nose to win the Northern Dancer over favorite Quijano, while J'Ray rallied from last to win the Canadian Stakes. Get the results, charts, and photos here.

Big Brown returns a winner in the Haskell Invitational (G1) - He struggled in the stretch, but finally caught pacesetter Coal Play late to win by 1 3/4 lengths with Cool Coal Man a distant 3rd. Get the results, chart, and photos here.

Whitney and Alfred G. Vanderbilt Handicaps - Commentator sprang to the front from the gate and never looked back in the Whitney, with Student Council and Grasshopper finishing 2nd and 3rd.
